(I meant, how should I kill you)

Also, I did see the posts, just nobody mentioned you specifically and I was wondering why you could possibly be angry.

two things:
1) CM, don't do that.
2) Aulos, sign up for the Halloween project, you're essential to the team

Second both of those. Anyway, it's nice to see some real activity again.

By the time QT gets around to accepting you it will be over. Maybe you can help debug.

Hey, dudes! Can we lock that project board now? Or does psy still need it to announce (but I think he can use this topic for that....)

because if we don't shut up on those topics now, then we never will, ven when they're way past redundant.

I'd really like to make this better, you know...polish it up a bit.

But I guess it's a failed effort, I really don't mind if it's locked.

Onto the next one? Lessons learned: (including those previously

-Complicated Combat means many nightmares for Psy
-Attempting a game that focuses on plot depth won't have enough time to be
developed and will usually have very different opinions.
-Certain individuals need to submit resources on time.
-Debugging needs to be a distributed task, or at least testing.

Any other ideas? Maybe we can add more after a few months once they're done scoring.

...I'd like to say something about the map, but bob's kinda mad at me, so that may not be wise.

-I'd say altogether that we need to attempt much less massive projects.
-We need to enter more contests so that we know exactly what constitutes as a "massive" game.
-Checks and balances exist for a reason. Both times, we went with the first thing proposed, and both times, the games sucked horribly...Am I sensing a pattern here?

Congratulations QT, for being the first one to say that openly!

I guess I choose not to step in since alot of planning was done rapidly after an idea was chosen. Next time I'll be more vocal in my opinions about the idea before we do anything (which means I gotta check the website regularly early on in the contest....)

We should stick with simple things. Listen, I could get these massive things done provided we switched to Java or some other language. It wouldn't be too much of a problem for me, but I'd be the only one doing anything. But with a simple game I think we'd get a lot farther. Like an exploration game.

Bob, I'll lock the board when discussion there is over and I damned well feel like it. Like QT said, this game can be polished and bug-controlled.

What exactly do you mean by an exploration game do you mean? All that comes to mind for me is a point and click adventure for preschoolers. O.O

An exploration game would be wandering around solving puzzles etc... Myst would be the purest form of the genre.

I think that I've expressed how much I dislike this idea (several times) but I still think we should try it...if it'll work, it'll work (and if it doesn't, psy will stop trying to make them).

and maybe we'll eventually find our niche? : D

I think it is possible for us to make an RPG that would not encounter the same problems LoaP did...

LoaP's plot might have worked if it were split into much shorter dialogue sequences and Siegfried were less emo. I'm of the opinion LoaP can still be salvaged with a battle system makeover and the addition of the gameplay areas found in the original Shifting Party but not in Lament.
