I've given up on ever being able to cooperate with any human running a mechanics system.

the closest i'll ever go towards D & D is the app on facebook. it's a pretty fun semi-passive game... no skill involved other than having the right EQ/potions though... wonder why it's so fun... Confused

A D & D app on Facebook? Sounds ingenious!

And I haven't given up on learning it. Just too lazy to try. - _ -

Then try ADOM. Not a low quality way to learn the general layout.

I think I understand most of the basics of D&D. Spell casting is weird though. That's why you can't go wrong with a melee guy! XD

And yes, I've already tried ADOM. I haven't gone very far in it though.

Slightly more on topic (although I like ADOM discussions)
1) My Sundays are normally spent knee-deep in stupid Shear-Modulus equations...
2) I'm having trouble believing that I'll ever learn all the rules.

I'll try to make it next Sunday...but there's a 80% chance that I'll be too busy...I actually calculated that...I have too much time on my hands today

Well, I had some more lessons last year from other sources. Still as low quality though. Best way would just be to read the books, IMO.
