When asked if she had done so, she replied that she had, and that "The puppies are in a happy place." She also advised that "A dog makes a good meal"

So I've been wanting to upgrade my phone for a few months now. I was thinking about getting this when my contract expires.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_humorous_units_of_measurement

"Helen of Troy (from the Iliad) is widely known as "the face that launched a thousand ships". Thus, 1 milliHelen is the amount of beauty needed to launch a single ship." ... "Helen herself has a beauty rating of 1.186 Helens, capable of launching more than one thousand ships." ... "1 negative Helen is the amount of negative beauty (i.e. ugliness) that can launch one thousand ships the other way."

http://tinyurl.com/288jdk - Aircraft don't intentionally jettison toilet waste, but in the rare occurrences when it leaks, it freezes onto the hull and the matter is called Blue Ice.

The best part is that they then spend a paragraph explaining the joke. Oh how I love wikipedia nerds.

Classic problem solved by Euler, led to topology rabble rabble.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seven_Bridges_of_K%C3%B6nigsberg

Btw, there is a solution to the problem if you allow people to walk across the Earth. You start on the middle Island, go on the right bridge, take the down bridge on the right landmass, walk across two of the bridges in a straight line, go across the face of the earth to the other side of the other two sets of bridges, and walk across the uppermost bridge of the rightmost landmass.

I'm sure there's a reason why that isn't a solution, but it's just a thought.

It's not a solution because the problem is defined as "The islands could not be reached by any route other than the bridges." You violate the topography if you add any more connections, turning it into a different problem.

Not sure which landmasses besides the middle one are actually islands, but I didn't really care to look.

Topology is fun.

That's more graph theory than topology (the two are, of course, quite related once you get into it)

Char Custom - Three times more pimp than the usual anime villain.
(When they start talking about 2channel, I get interested. Also, for actual he's the iconic villain of the original Gundam. His character mold and appearance has permeated throughout the rest of the Gundam franchise and influenced other mecha and anime. Char custom is derived from his tendency to have a personalized higher performance model of the standard pilot's machine.)
